Dendritic Crystals

So, yeah.

The brain, like so much of nature (even the Universe - you'll see), has as its root a dendritic structure:

Dendrites are the structural elements of the brain, which, along with neurons and synapses, conduct electrical information which becomes thoughts. "The term "dendrite" comes from the Greek word dendron, which means "tree." Other terms for this same or similar structure are fractals, alluvial fans, river deltas, root systems, leaf veins, the circulatory system (veins and arteries), and computer fractal art.

A crystal dendrite is a crystal that develops with a typical multi-branching tree-like form. Dendritic crystal growth is very common and illustrated by snowflake formation and frost patterns on a window. Dendritic crystallization forms a natural fractal pattern.
